A End of Term Blabber

I havent been blogging for such a long time, and suddenly felt the impulse last night but was too tired to do so (having stayed up to the wee hours of the morning working on my silly CCA testimonial. a superficial piece of crap in my opinion.)

School ended on a beautiful note yesterday, at least thats what i felt. Though our celebration with ms tang might have looked rather superficial, but still her sakae sushi treat did manage to melt a couple of us. The wonders of the food and treats eh? But of course, it was ed's bday celeb that really made the difference. For once during this period of dull, stressful mugging for prelims, we finally found some time to come together and celebrate! Dont i just love celebrations (: And for some strange reason, everyone was a little on the high side. I was extremely so, maybe due to my lack of sleep the night before. But yes, it was beautiful because, all my irritation for mrs lee disappeared after she gave us those muesli bars (the ones that kayleigh’s dad would buy for us!) and somehow my disapproval (who am I to do so right?!) for tang kinda waned over the months, and I would suppose I kindof regret being mean to her. I wonder if it’s the sushi that’s making me feel guilty. And yes, ed’s cake was LOVELY, the rum inside that sticky coat of chocolate was just heavenly. Though I usually don’t like chocs (with the exception of dark ones), I admit I think I did gobble up 2 servings. And spent another one smashing into ed’s face =P

For a long long time, we might just remotely look like we have gone back to the innocent first 3 months, where we don’t know each other well enough not to dislike each other or bitch, and the undercurrents weren’t present, and everyone genuinely liked each other (or didn’t mind at least), and we had fun. In a way I suppose (because I don’t want to impose my sentiments on everybody). It’s a pity how some things have turned out after 2 years of being together as a class, but in a way, maybe its how the story was supposed to unfold, how some things weren’t fated to work out, how others blossomed, and how we grew and changed whether we liked it or not. And … the unspoken agreement about how things may be just a façade? I hope to think otherwise, but that would definitely be far too idealistic. But I still choose to believe that maybe it in this superficiality, that might still be remnants that we can truly cherish.

The end of official school term means the end of school days, in a way, because I think university would be very much different. Life from today till the end of the year would be pretty much solitary (at least in my case), prep-ing for exams and working hard for our dreams. But I’m grateful to those who have made my 2years so wonderful (on the whole) - be it those who have came and went, those we dropped by and left little marks, and those who stood by me.

And I swear I have no idea why im blabbering such emotional stuff, the very quality that I tease people for succumbing to. Now I kind of understand why Antonio loved to wallow in self- pity, it really is an indulgence to immerse in memories and daydreams.
