POST CNY SYNDROME.

Its the second day of chinese new year and im still at my ahma's house and this year, its quieter than usual with less guests and thus, less angpows. But my brother and i still firmly believe in quality over quantity so no complains ;) and cny isnt all about angpows its about celebrating the birth of a new year, a chance for you to start everything afresh and make resolutions and try to stick by them. and of course, a long-awaited break for me.

Preparations for CNY was really draining, considering most of us slept an average of 3h a night the week prior to the celebrations. But the entire cny went pretty well in my opinion, street market was more or less great with not that many hiccups and council stall didnt have ANY leftovers (which was a great news! but maybe coz me and karin werent ambitious at all :x). I loved my little fountain and people actually threw coins in (surprise!) and i sincerely hope all their wishes come true coz mine came true! Looking back i really think i enjoyed cny prep though it was very draining and tiring. But i'll definitely remember those fond memories of me and karin shopping in shing shong and carting our unpaid goods out thinking there is a second level, me and haining singing our lungs out in the middle of the night while trying to fix our fountain, and of course doing the wet and dry weather plan with stephie while donning an ANTI-STEF tag on me. (muahaa.) it was all great memories and to think about it, though i was like complaining about my lack of time for my beauty sleep i really think i did enjoy myself while working for it. it wasnt like MAF ... but i think my mindset has changed and im starting to take pride in what i do. Ahh yes, im proud of myself (: ahaha. And before i forget, there is one person i MUST thank, my mum. Okay this sounds so cliched but she has really helped me more than i asked for .. she was like up the whole night before CNY celebrations helping me with my potatoes and not slping at all! I LOVE YOU MUMMY. (: <-- gosh, this is how cheesy, but i mean what i just said.

Apollo won fac dance (again!) but it was a tie with Ares. But im like completely fine with that decision coz i think Ares dance is very nice too and the Ares people really did put in ALOT of effort (: but of course, i cant help it that im definitely more PRO-APOLLO ... i mean, who doesnt support the BEST FAC and MOST ENTHU FAC and fac with the greatest, hottest and funkiest people eh? but that aside, i think ALL the facs did very very well and everyone emerged as winners at the competition. the turnout for the dance was great and WAY better than our year's .. don't we just love enthu juniors? .. yups, they have really made CNY celebration so fun and so memorable, at least for me ... and i really do appreciate it.

Dj, kaix and amy actually came to crash our celeb and apparently thats coz their sch's celeb was not just boring and dull but maybe, non-existent? ah well .. thats coz they dont have a wacky cny comm chair like ours. THREE CHEERS FOR MICHLOW! and thanks to dj, you are very sweet (though i can imagine u cringing when i say this MUAHAHA.) Yups, and just a side note, my darling jnr class did very well for their stall .. at least everyone who saw them said they "displayed great class spirit and enthusiasm" and were very "innovative", ahh .. taking after their hot class councillor eh? ahaha ;)

coz i think its time for me to stop indulging myself in the high after CNY celeb. congrats to cnyco, we did a great job~! and save the last dance someone.. that was the last time we're going to do our batch dance and mass dance. im so gonna miss ya xiaoxiao .. ahaha ;) i cant believe im saying this man, im actually missin' mass dance, shuhui and paul would be SO proud of me. ah wells. how i have changed ... and im lovin' it.
