Its pretty ironic how we mock at the weak women in movies who pine aimlessly for their lovers or lovesick young men who wait for years for the girl they love. We laugh at those people entangled in love triangles or squares or pentagons but the situation seem so hopelessly complicated that it doesnt seem ever possible to solve. We never understand how come the protagonist is ever so dumb and unaware of the surroundings and we lament at how a small misunderstanding can turn the sweetest love story a nightmare, make best friends enemies and cause people to make decisions that they regret for the rest of their lives.

And yet, we fail to realise that sometimes we might be living a life similar to those protoganists that we see on cinema screens. Those that we laugh at, condemn and told ourselves ever so confidently that we wouldnt behave like them if we were in a similar situation. We make the same mistakes, choose the wrong path and behave in the same eccentric way as the pathetic, hopeless character on screen. Yes, much to our oblivion. How very ironic.
