The Last Samurai rocks. watched it wth erns, dj, juan, woankhi, cf (bun) and mavis- left halfway for dance (poor girl). and it was amazing. i thought i enjoyed it more den lotr ;) and the scores were amazing. i bought the soundtrack straight after watching the movie. tom cruise looked really cute inside (except that i was really tempted to shave off his extra beard but dj said it was to create the rugged look --> point taken) and he is a fabulous actor ;D. gosh. and there was this guy who plays the Jap emperor inside and the moment he showed his face was a laughing so hard that i was surprised that no one chased me out of the cinema. but he was like really scrawny and all and definitely not someone you would associate with erms, an emperor (aka a living god). learnt some really cool catchphrases frm de movie too like calling people you dont know "bob" and there was this really meaningful phrase that set me pondering: whatever you do, remember where you came from. (or something along this line) and that katsumoto had so much charisma (gush gush). i love the entire mood created by the movie but it was really sad to see the jap people fightin themselves under the command of someone from another country. heh, i sorta cried buckets during the movie.
south district fd comp finally came to a close for us and its like the last comp that we (year 4) would take part together wth rgsrcy. and i must say that we had put up a really impressive performance. even though we didnt get the top 3, i must say that the squad has done us proud. they were really amazing :D. well done. and yes, i agree wth xinyu, i love them :D.
unit dinner was one of the most memorable nights i ever had. other than the usual laughing our heads off at silly jokes (yeah, i was really high) i thought that the chat wth our sec 3s really made me, erms, how to put it... think abt it and i sorta feel less distant to them. it made me feel better saying what i thought and it sort off reduces the barrier between the year. seriously, i dont really agree to the snr jnr gap rule but i think that it should exist but in fact, a self discipline kind of thing should take over it. it will definitely bond the UNIT better and not just the year.
